Both JohnnyParts replacement options use an upgraded metal actuator pin and are supplied as complete handles for vehicles fitted with the standard non-keyless handle type.

The full metal version also upgrades the exterior handle body itself to metal construction.

⚠️ Important Fitment Check

Some Honda CR-Z handles fitted with the keyless-entry rubber button may also have a keyhole.

Do not rely on the keyhole alone when checking fitment.

Before ordering, check whether your current exterior handle has a rubber keyless-entry button on the outside of the handle.

These complete replacement handles do not suit vehicles fitted with that rubber button.

🔑 Keyless-Entry Rubber Button Handles

There are currently no complete aftermarket Honda CR-Z exterior handles available with the factory keyless-entry rubber button built into the handle.

For vehicles fitted with the keyless-entry rubber button, the recommended aftermarket option is usually our upgraded latch and metal pin repair kit, which installs into the original factory handle:

A genuine Honda keyless-entry handle may also be available to order, although genuine handles are normally considerably more expensive.

🛠️ Important Installation Information

The replacement exterior handle relies on the vehicle’s door latch, actuator and linkage operating correctly.

A worn, stiff, damaged, incorrectly adjusted or misaligned latch or actuator can place excessive load on the exterior handle and may cause premature failure.

Before installing the new handle, check whether the door:

• Feels stiff or difficult to open
• Requires excessive force to release
• Does not release smoothly
• Has a sticking or worn latch
• Has a damaged or misaligned actuator
• Has incorrectly adjusted linkage or cables

If the door does not open smoothly, the latch or actuator mechanism should be inspected, repaired or replaced before fitting the new handle.

Professional installation by a qualified mechanic or automotive technician is strongly recommended.

🛡️ Six-Month Warranty

This product includes a six-month warranty covering manufacturing defects in the replacement handle itself.

The warranty applies where the handle develops a confirmed manufacturing fault during normal use and has been correctly installed onto a vehicle with a properly operating door latch and actuator mechanism.

Because handle damage can also be caused by vehicle-related problems, installation issues or excessive force, warranty claims may require:

• Photos or video showing the reported fault
• Information about how and when the fault occurred
• Proof of installation by a qualified mechanic or automotive technician
• Inspection of the door latch and actuator mechanism
• Return of the handle to JohnnyParts for assessment

A replacement, repair or other resolution will only be provided once the fault has been assessed and confirmed as a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty.

The Warranty Does Not Cover

• Failure caused by a worn, stiff or faulty door latch
• Failure caused by a faulty, damaged or misaligned actuator
• Excessive load placed on the handle by hard or stiff door operation
• Incorrect installation or adjustment
• Damage caused during installation or removal
• Forced, rough or improper operation
• External, impact or accidental damage
• General wear and tear
• Incorrectly ordered handle type
• Incorrect side, keyhole option or fitment
• Use on a vehicle fitted with the keyless-entry rubber button handle
• Painting, modification or repair carried out by another party
• Labour, installation, removal or diagnostic costs

If a fault is suspected, the handle may need to be returned to JohnnyParts for inspection before any replacement, repair or refund is considered.

By purchasing this product, the customer acknowledges that the vehicle’s door latch, actuator and related components must be in good working condition for the replacement handle to operate correctly.
