This mount is commonly referred to as an engine mount, however Mazda OEM terminology generally lists it as the gearbox mount. It is fitted on the left-hand side of the vehicle and is designed to support and stabilise the gearbox assembly.
A worn or failed mount can cause excessive engine and gearbox movement, increased vibration, clunking during gear changes, or a less stable driving feel under load. Replacing a tired mount helps restore proper support and reduce unwanted movement.
