Mazda 2.3 Turbo Rear Main Seal
Rear main crankshaft seal suitable for Mazda 2.3L DISI Turbo engines.
A leaking rear main seal can allow engine oil to escape from the rear of the crankshaft where the engine meets the transmission. Replacement generally requires removal of the gearbox, making it a good time to replace the seal while the transmission is already removed for clutch or gearbox work.

Mazda CX-7 2.3 Turbo
Mazda MPV 2.3 Turbo

Tool Hire Option Available
Installing the rear main seal correctly requires the seal to be fitted evenly and to the correct depth.
We offer an optional rear main seal installation tool hire service.
The freight allowance covers delivery of the installation tool to you and return freight back to JohnnyParts NZ.
If the actual freight cost is lower than the $25 allowance charged, the difference will be refunded.
Important Checkout Information
If you select the tool hire option, please choose Free Freight at website checkout.
Do not select a paid freight option, as delivery and return freight for the hire tool is already included in the tool hire variation. Selecting paid freight at checkout may result in being charged freight twice.
Tool Return Timeframe
The tool must be booked for courier collection no later than 7 days after you receive it.
Courier transit time back to JohnnyParts NZ is additional and does not count toward the 7-day hire period.
If you need additional time, please contact us before the 7-day return period ends to arrange an extension.
The refundable bond is returned once the tool has been received back in satisfactory condition.
Installation Notes
Installation should be carried out carefully to avoid damaging the sealing lip or installing the seal unevenly.
Always inspect the crankshaft sealing surface before installation.
Professional installation is recommended where required.
